The kit contains 14 x 2 metre packs of the most popular sizes of nitrile rubber cord, including: 1.78mm, 2mm, 2.4mm, 2.62mm, 3mm, 3.53mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, 5mm, 5.33mm, 5.7mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm.
Also included: cyanoacrylate adhesive, splicing jig, safety knife and a measuring tape.
Making an O-Ring
Establish the length and size of the required cord. Use the knife and cutting block to cut the cord. Make sure that the cut is smooth and clean of oil grease and dust. Spread a thin layer of adhesive on one of the ends and using the ridge of the cutting block – unite the two ends. Holding the ends in the ridge, press firmly together for 20 to 30 seconds. Then leave to dry for 2 to 3 minutes. Inspect the completed O-Ring which should now be ready for use.
