inter-active is a quick application polyurethane sealant for expansion or control joints. protects concrete joints from water, chemicals, oils or dirts, but has flexibility to allow concrete to breathe, preventing cracks and other damage over time.

Concrete is prone to expand and contract, relative to the temperature it is subject to. Joints allow for this movement to occur, but then also allow for other forms of damage to occur. Inter-Active has been developed as a flexible two-part PU system, which is deployed along the joints, offering industrial levels of strength and resistance to chemicals, extreme temperatures, water, and other elements. With its flexibility, Inter-Active, once set will also move with the surface, stopping further deterioration.

Inter Active is a two-component polyurethane joint sealant for use in load bearing, saw cut or pre-formed control joints. It’s designed as a heavy-duty expansion filler, which will accommodate to up to 10% movement of concrete. On cure, this forms a tough, hard material with a degree of flexibility allowing movement in joints, with curing properties down to 5˚C. This fantastic product also comes in two grades: One for horizontal and one for vertical joints.
A closed cell polyurethane joint backing rod should be used in joints over 10mm deep. Bond breaker tape should be used where polyurethane backing rod is not employed at the base of the joint to prevent sealant adhesion.
